  Introduction/Purpose

Week 5 will have you exploring test-taking strategies, test anxiety, and memory.  Test-taking in college can be nerve-racking since tests are usually worth more points than other assignments so they have a higher stress factor. Preparing yourself properly to take a test can be tricky for some students when poor study habits have existed in the past.  Now is your time to be that great student you know you are and study well for your classes and those many tests that you will be taking over the course of your college career.

  Module Learning Objectives

  • Outline the importance of memory when studying and note some opportunities to strengthen memory.
  • Discuss specific ways to increase the effectiveness of studying.
  • Articulate test-taking strategies that minimize anxiety and maximize results.
