About Me:

Hello and Welcome to Biology. My name is Eleazar Gutierrez. My primary loves include Science and Math. This course is among many flagship curriculums offered at this campus. In an effort to make this class less costly and more accessible, this term I am switching to an online textbook resource by OpenStaxLinks to an external site.. Rice UniversityLinks to an external site. and involves fifteen senior and contributing authors. Overall, I have had a good experience with this resource. A great amount of time and effort has been invested to bring you the richest and most engaging experience possible.

My degree is in Biochemistry and Biophysics. Biochemists and Molecular Biologists are interested in finding out how life works. This requires knowledge from various disciplines. Genetics, Physics, Organic Chemistry, and Biochemistry-the list goes on. Most of the Central Dogma and Metabolism taught in textbooks has been gleaned from the study of microorganisms. Therefore, microbiology is of particular significance in my discipline.

I hope to instill my enthusiasm for the Life Sciences. That at the end or this term you decide that taking this course not only open doors and provided you relevant knowledge, but that it enriched your life.
